The Cutie Mark Crusaders Song is featured in The Show Stoppers. Apple Bloom and Scootaloo follow the sound of Sweetie Belle's singing, and ask her what's the tune she's singing. She tells her fellow Cutie Mark Crusaders it's their theme song, and that she only composed a part of it. Later, Scootaloo completes the song, and the Crusaders perform it in a talent contest in hopes of getting their cutie marks. Through most of the act the crowd stands slack-jawed, then bursts into laughter once it's concluded. While the Crusaders don't get their cutie marks, the performance wins them the prize for best comedy act. After being used on the show, the instrumental of the song was used in Olaf in Love, the twenty-third episode of the first season of Pound Puppies, another show for which Daniel Ingram provides music. Daniel Ingram describes the song's style on his website as "Cheesy 80's with 3 out of tune soloists".^[1] The song's melody is a quasi-perfect amalgam of the 80's hits (I Just) Died in Your Arms and Holding Out For A Hero, with an opening piano riff very reminiscent of the beginning of Don't Stop Believin' or Alone.
