For context, discussion can be seen here and here. I propose that a parameter allowing for a second image in {{Infobox character}} be added; so that characters with two forms (namely, Flash Sentry and Sunset Shimmer, though this could also perhaps be applied to Twilight Sparkle) could both be displayed. Since it would be an optional parameter anyway (to maintain consistency with the other parameters) I don't see the harm in this. As far as the implementation, I think it should be the same as "image", just named something added on (like "image2", for example, and by extension "imagewidth2" and "caption2") to differentiate them.--

- I Second this motion! this way characters with multiple forms can have both forms be featured as their profile image, when it comes to the multiple forms holding equal importance.

- This could also help with character profiles with multiple characters on them, such as Twin characters, or couples who are often pared together.
Ixbran (talk) 08:11, June 29, 2013 (UTC)- I thought about it, and I wouldn't agree with this usage; I still think it should be one infobox per character, due to the fact that the colors used for it are customized depending on the colors of the pony it is for, and I suppose it could be determined what color combination would work best, but for ponies that have cutie marks (so obviously this wouldn't be a problem for Pound and Pumpkin Cake, but it would for Mr and Mrs Cake) the coat color from the image the cutie mark was cropped from (and obviously, this only applies to ponies that don't have any official vectors of their cutie marks) is used for the color of that cell to make it blend in, and almost seem like there's no background. If they were combined into one, one would be guaranteed to stand out, no matter what. Also, unlike adding a second image parameter, I wouldn't be in favor of adding a second cutie mark parameter (I just think its usage would be too limited, and it would make things unnecessarily messy where it would be used).-- Jonny Manztalkcontribse-mailedit count 08:37, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

- Ahh okay, so this feature would just be used only for characters with multiple forms only, that would be fine I guess. That last part I added I just put because I thought it could have multiple uses. But again, only using the feature for single characters with multiple forms is just fine.

Support this idea. I actually thought about doing it like this at the beginning of this Flash profile pic conversation, but couldn´t put the codes right. So it would be a good idea as long as the page doesn´t look messy. However I don´t really want this thing with Twilight´s page as her both forms are very similiar and it could be confusing as she became an alicorn later during the course of the show. http://i.imgur.com/y5CoN1W.png Sentrakk Talk 12:49, June 29, 2013 (UTC)
- I like the idea. However, infoboxes are already long as they are and push down the first section a lot (see Sunset Shimmer). I was thinking it might be better to use a tabber for the image. That way, we could still have a "default" profile image but the other one would be viewable while not taking up so much space. In this case, would we want a third one for Twilight's unicorn and Alicorn versions? I might just do it that way anyway (at least having support for it) because it would make the implementation better. ~Bobogoobo (talk)

- I like the idea of it being done Tab style. that way we could also apply it to the other characters without it stretching out their pages. and we could do multiple tabs, more than just 2, and it wont take up any room. Pony forms in the front, then human forms as second tab, then 3rd tab could be other forms the characters been seen in. Eeeeeeee i has an excitement.

- I hadn't thought of Luna's NMM form, that's a good idea. (Also Nightmare Rarity.) Yeah, we could use this anywhere it's appropriate, that's why I made the EG a specific parameter so it's easy to use alternate forms with image2. ~Bobogoobo (talk) 06:32, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

This seems to have enough support so I'll move it over to the main template tomorrow assuming no major objection comes up, and then you can add them to pages as you think of them and I can fix any lingering bugs that are likely to come up. What I think I like best about the tabber is that, without increasing the height of the template, it allows for... around 4 or 5 images (judging from the width of the template), making it a much better choice than just adding a second image parameter. - Mhm. If we used tab names like "A", "B", etc, we could probably fit at least ten :P. I don't think any character has more than three forms, so it should be fine for now, but I could add more if desired. I could also change the order; for now I put EG always last because I figured more people would be looking for appearances in the series and having EG in the same place on every box would be good. ~Bobogoobo (talk) 06:32, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

Since there doesn't appear to be any dissent, and a clear consensus with the discussion having been inactive for over three days, as per FW:GL#Discussions, I'll go ahead and implement the changes, unless anyone can point out dissent to me.
However, I'll leave the discussion open, in case anyone wants to discuss how many tabs the infobox should have (for now, I'll just install what Bobo has in his sandbox, which is 3, including the "EG image" tab), or if any other situations pop up, such as whether Chrysalis should get an image of her disguised as Cadance in her infobox.-- Jonny Manztalkcontribse-mailedit count 05:13, July 7, 2013 (UTC)
