I would like to get some clarifications regarding the discussion of the video game "FNAF".

For quite sometime now, it appears as if we're allowed to discuss the series or link videos as long as users don't discuss the series's mythos or link any content from the actual games themselves.

I spoke with one chat mod here (that being Pony and meatball sub) on the matter, and from her standpoint, it's similar to discussing certain creepypastas - which aren't allowed on chat. I would just like some clarification regarding the topic.

Addressing the appropriateness of every single videogame, movie, website, or any other topic, gets bogged down with details and eventually the entire chat becomes an exercise in skirting the rules (see 2015-06-18 11:27:57 for example). The guidelines have been made general exactly to avoid the need for this discussion; the main guideline is "please do not discuss a topic that others find inappropriate or makes others uncomfortable." Of course any direct discussion or links to violent or greusome content should receive a warning (and a subsequent kick or ban if appropriate). Throwy 13:52, June 21, 2015 (UTC)
