These ponies were either shown with no name, randomly shown with an apple related cutie mark or is a recolor of one of the apple family members.
Parents?[]
Are Applejack's, Apple Bloom's and Big Macintosh's parents dead? Is there some reason they've never been seen? Have they ever been mentioned? Wratched 15:31, May 19, 2012 (UTC)

I think Granny Smith mentioned one of them and Big Macintosh cried in episode 14 of season 2, I think, I'm not sure special contributions 86.47.76.16
An item of interest is a portrait of a male and female pony together inside the main entry to the Apple family home. The picture is obviously a mockup of the famous American Gothic, but this belies the other possibility: parents. Season 2, Episode 6: The Cutie Pox. Around 12-13 minutes in.
I think I remember hearing one of the show writers (possibly Lauren Faust) state they're alive but they travel a lot since the original plan for the show was to have them dead until they got to a certain point and dropped it because its a kid's show despite the fanbase, I can't remember where I heard that but I know I did hear it. Faust's FAQ on her Deviant Art account stated that her idea was that they'd have passed away. She is no longer the show's lead, so her ideas are as legit as any fan fic writer for canon. We might be somewhat closer to the answer, since apparently "everybody" in the Apple family responded to the invitation to the reunion, and Applejack's parents are never mentioned and supposedly never appear. It's probably the case that they're dead, but it will never be brought up.
In the followup for "Apple Family Reunion" Equestria Daily posted, that it had been confirmed that the two comets soaring over Sweet Apple Acres in the closing shot are supposed to symbolize AJ's parents. I think Lauren Faust intended them to be dead but Hasbro didn't want it atfirst because they didn't know what the fanbase would be, they thought it'd be the same as G3, but now that they know they basically made that canon in Season 3. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 02:31, March 31, 2013 (UTC)
Carrot family[]
Some images of Sweet Apple Acres have a house with a carrot ((cutie mark)) on it, so it could mean that ((Golden Harvest)) and ((Noi)) could own the house and live together as they harvest carrots.

Caramel Apple and Golden Harvest look the same but who is who, they have different cutie marks and they look the same, they should combine, I think they are.
