Miscellaneous

      • Zap2it went through some major overhaul changes and reverted it back with "Trade Ya" being the 19th episode of season four again. Prince Silversaddle (talk) 13:01, April 3, 2014 (UTC)
  • Every two part episodes starred a main villain. 72.211.157.16 06:50, August 25, 2012 (UTC)
  • Zecora is the only zebra in the show. 213.154.11.25 06:08, 2012 December 7‎
    • For that matter Zecora is the only non-pony in the show to have a cutie mark --Kinrah (talk) 22:50, December 8, 2012 (UTC)
      • You're right! I hadn't realized that! 37.61.110.210 09:54, December 17, 2012 (UTC)
      • Zebras are considered equines, but then, so are mules and donkeys, and they don't have cutie marks.Raymondluxuryacht (talk) 23:58, January 8, 2014 (UTC)
      • Umm...Actually, now Discord has his cutie mark of tornado in Twilight's Kingdom. NewSupaLuigiBros (talk) 01:23, June 16, 2014 (UTC)
        • It wasn't permanent. ImperfectXIII Wiki signature FANMADE ImperfectXIII OC pixel animation 01:29, June 16, 2014 (UTC)
  • Rainbow Dash is the only pony that can and has done a sonic rainboom. Meester Tweester (talk) 05:28, January 17, 2013 (UTC)
  • Applejack has bitten Rainbow Dash's tail eight times. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 08:11, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
    • And does so an additional time when entering the comic book in Power Ponies. --  Heeeeyyyy, everybody! It's Meester Tweester!   10:45, February 14, 2014 (UTC)
      • That would be the eighth time. (First three were once each in the first three episodes, fourth was in Dragonshy, fifth was in Fall Weather Friends, sixth was in The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, seventh was in The Crystal Empire Part 2) Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 07:13, November 5, 2014 (UTC)
  • Fluttershy is the only pony to bite Rarity's tail, and the only pony whose tail is bitten by Rarity. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 08:11, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
  • Three of Scott McNeil's characters are involved with Rarity in some way. Rover the Diamond Dog kidnaps her and forces her to find jewels for him, Flam makes Rarity faint during their song, and Caramel is said to be Rarity's neighbor during his first speaking appearance. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 08:11, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
  • King Sombra is the only antagonist to not taunt the ponies in any way. Meester Tweester (talk) 18:08, January 20, 2013 (UTC)
    • He is also the only major antagonist not to yell "NOOOOOOOO!" upon his defeat. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 08:11, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
      • Not true; Tirek and the Dazzlings haven't yelled "NOOOOOOOO!" during their defeats as well.
    • And the only one without wings. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 05:48, May 28, 2013 (UTC)
  • Queen Chrysalis is the only major antagonist not to receive an unambiguous defeat in the show (although some think, comics aside, that she is either dead or banished). She is also the only one not to have been imprisoned a thousand years prior to the first episode. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 08:11, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
    • The second point is not counting Equestria Girls villains Sunset Shimmer and Adagio Dazzle, who both reside in the human world by the first episode though Adagio was banished there a thousand years ago Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 07:13, November 5, 2014 (UTC)
  • Every antagonist defeated by Spike has shattered to pieces upon death. (although Spike didn't directly do this to Sombra) Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 08:11, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
  • Each main villain is fought in a different area. The battle with Nightmare Moon takes place in the Everfree Forest, Discord in Ponyville, Queen Chrysalis in Canterlot, and King Sombra in the Crystal Empire. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 07:52, February 2, 2013 (UTC)
    • And Sunset Shimmer in the human world. Xeoxer (talk) 19:13, July 8, 2013 (UTC)
    • I don't know where Tirek was fought...perhaps the badlands? Oh what beauty of a rose, to grace the eyes and charm the nose...~~SEGASister 16:11, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
    • Broken with Adagio Dazzle who, like Sunset Shimmer, is also fought in the human world (except at a stage instead of the school) Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 07:13, November 5, 2014 (UTC)
      • Well, Sunset Shimmer was fought near the school, and the Dazzlings at the scene someplace else, so it still holds true (because all those other locations are also part of one word - Equestria). Xeoxer (talk) 18:11, November 9, 2014 (UTC)
      • Broken for real with Midnight Sparkle, who was fought in the same place as Sunset Shimmer was. Exactly the same place, in fact. --Scrounge (talk) 07:16, December 11, 2015 (UTC)
  • Every season of the show so far (not counting Equestria Girls) starts and ends in Canterlot. Vengir (talk) 11:37, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
    • Streak broken with the Season Four finale, which ends in Twilight's new castle, which appears to be located just outside Ponyville. - Raymondluxuryacht (talk) 23:01, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
  • So far, in every season premiere, Twilight cries. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 21:30, November 25, 2013 (UTC)
  • Of all the Mane 6, Rarity has the longest distance of back to back episodes revolving around her: Episode 35 (Sweet and Elite) and Episode 73 (Rarity Takes Manehattan), at 38 episodes. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 05:51, January 5, 2014 (UTC)
    • At a total of 763 days apart between both episodes' premiere date. Oh what beauty of a rose, to grace the eyes and charm the nose...~~SEGASister 17:17, March 29, 2014 (UTC)
  • So far in every 17th episode per season, Apple Bloom starred in it: Stare Master, Hearts and Hooves Day, and Somepony to Watch Over Me (Season 3 doesn't count because there was no episode 17). --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 20:54, February 12, 2014 (UTC)
  • Every season finale so far features at least three songs. Dont Be a Sad Panda (talk) 01:26, February 15, 2014 (UTC)
    • No longer true as of the Season Four finale, which includes only two songs. - Raymondluxuryacht (talk) 23:01, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
      • And season five's only had one. XD What's next? Season 6's having none? Nah, it's not gonna be like that. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 17:49, November 28, 2015 (UTC)
  • Twilight Sparkle is the only character to appear in every episode of Season 1.
    • No character appears in every Season 2 episode, with Twilight and Applejack coming the closest, each appearing in 23 of the 26 episodes.
    • Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity all appear in every episode of Season 3, though only Applejack has a speaking role in all of them.
    • No character appears in every Season 4 episode; Applejack comes closest, appearing in 24 episodes out of 26. - Raymondluxuryacht (talk) 01:22, February 23, 2014 (UTC)
    • No character appears in every Season 5 episode; Twilight is the most frequently appearing character, appearing in 22 of 26 episodes.Raymondluxuryacht (talk) 01:58, November 29, 2015 (UTC)
  • Every key episode in Season Four is written by a different writer. Abbeybunny
    • Also, every key episode in Season Four has been broadcasted as an even numbered episode (Rarity Takes Manehatten - 8th episode broadcasted; Rainbow Falls - 10th episode broadcasted; Pinkie Pride - 12th episode broadcasted; It ain't easy being Breezies - 16th episode aired; Leap of Faith - 21st episode produced, but 20th episode broadcasted; Twilight's Kingdom Part 1 - 26th episode broadcast) Perfect Sige (talk) 04:38, April 1, 2014 (UTC)
  • Season 1 is the only season where all episodes are broadcasted in the same order as their production order. Perfect Sige (talk) 04:38, April 1, 2014 (UTC)
  • So far Twilight Sparkle (season 1 premiere and The Ticket Master), Rainbow Dash (May the Best Pet Win! and The Mysterious Mare Do Well), Rarity (A Dog and Pony Show and Green Isn't Your Color), Applejack (The Last Roundup and The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000), Spike (Inspiration Manifestation and Equestria Games), and the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Stare Master and The Show Stoppers) are the only characters to have stared in episodes twice in a row at least once (not counting episodes where all the Mane Six star in one episode). --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 14:56, April 6, 2014 (UTC)
  • Season 4 is the only season not to introduce a new alicorn Glenn31 (talk) 15:36, April 17, 2014 (UTC)
    • Unless you count Alicorn Princess Discord in the finale. :) - Raymondluxuryacht (talk) 23:01, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
    • Discord is a Draconequus, not a pony. So APD does not count. Prince Goldstreak (talk) 08:41, December 1, 2014 (UTC)
    • Season 5 did not either. --Scrounge (talk) 07:16, December 11, 2015 (UTC)
  • Out of the mane 6, Applejack has gone the longest between episodes without being clearly heard singing (Best Night Ever to The Crystal Empire - Part 1), which is 26 episodes. Twilight is second to her, having not been clearly heard singing since Magical Mystery Cure (24 episodes as of Equestria Games) Glenn31 (talk) 22:10, April 23, 2014 (UTC)
    • Unless we're including EG, cause Twilight, and the rest of the Mane Six, sang then. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 04:37, April 25, 2014 (UTC)
    • I stand corrected. Applejack sang in A Canterlot Wedding - Part 1, so that means Twilight and Applejack are tied as of Equestria Games Glenn31 (talk) 17:56, May 6, 2014 (UTC)
    • And Applejack takes the "win" because she has not been heard clearly since Twilight sang in Twilight's Kingdom - Part 1. Oh what beauty of a rose, to grace the eyes and charm the nose...~~SEGASister 16:11, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
  • Starting with Season 2, every season premiere and season finale has been written by either Meghan McCarthy or M.A. Larson. - Raymondluxuryacht (talk) 19:47, April 26, 2014 (UTC)
    • No longer true as Scott Sonneborn co-wrote The Cutie Map alongside M.A Larson 20:16, April 4, 2015 (UTC)
      • M.A. Larson still wrote it (just not by himself), so I say the streak still stands.Raymondluxuryacht (talk) 14:38, April 5, 2015 (UTC)
  • So far, in every season, Donut Joe appears in only the last few episodes. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 17:10, May 3, 2014 (UTC)
  • Season 4 is the only season so far that doesn't have Kathleen Barr voicing a character. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 19:05, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
  • For every episode Princess Cadance appears in, it's either Shining Armor or Flash Sentry that appears with her. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 04:46, July 20, 2014 (UTC)
  • Season 3 is the only season so far to not have 26 episodes. Sandstorm the animus SandWing (talk) 21:17, July 23, 2014 (UTC)
  • The main villains (not counting the Plunderseeds) have always alternated between male and female. (Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis, King Sombra, Sunset Shimmer, Lord Tirek, Adagio Dazzle) Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 07:13, November 5, 2014 (UTC)
  • Luna has appeared in more episodes each season. (counting Nightmare Moon she appears in two episodes in Season 1, three episodes in Season 2, four episodes in Season 3, and six episodes in Season 4) Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 07:13, November 5, 2014 (UTC)
    • Season 5 ends this trend, as she appears in five episodes (again counting Nightmare Moon.)
  • Season 1 is the only season where Discord, Shining Armor, and Princess Cadance do not appear. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 07:13, November 5, 2014 (UTC)
    • Irrelevant; they hadn't been introduced yet. By that logic, this same statistic applies to Pound and Pumpkin Cake, Jet Set and Upper Crust, and Rarity and Sweetie Belle's parents, among others. ImperfectXIII Wiki signature FANMADE ImperfectXIII OC pixel animation 07:26, November 5, 2014 (UTC)
  • With the exception of season 2, Angel appears in every third episode per season. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 21:04, April 4, 2015 (UTC)
    • Season 6 just loves breaking streaks, don't they? XD --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 22:32, April 5, 2016 (UTC)
  • Of all the redeedmed villains, Discord is the only one who has worn the most clothing in episodes and first male to wear pants. User:Donald634 20:30 June 9,2015
    • Wasn't there a tennis pony wearing pants in Call of the Cutie? Vengir (talkcontributions) 22:21, April 13, 2016 (UTC)
    • However, both of the redeemed villains from the Equestria Girls movies (Sunset Shimmer and Sci-Twi) both wear more clothes than Discord has, for fairly obvious reasons. --Scrounge (talk) 19:50, May 10, 2016 (UTC)
  • Season 5 Half 1 is the first season in which no pony has bitten another pony's tail. Ghostkaiba297 (talk) 20:49, July 31, 2015 (UTC)
    • Half of season is still not a season, even when the episode break is larger than usual. Vengir (talk) 20:53, July 31, 2015 (UTC)
  • Season 5 is the first season where Applejack does not bite Rainbow Dash's tail, nor do any characters with names. KillRoy231 (talk) 01:54, December 11, 2015 (UTC)
  • So far, in every musical episode somepony gets their cutie mark. Vengir (talk) 21:03, October 13, 2015 (UTC)
  • Season five is the first full season where Spike wasn't the one to have the fewer amount of appearance as the rest of the mane cast. That title this season belongs to Fluttershy. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 16:37, November 21, 2015 (UTC)
  • Season five features the most villain redemptions (Gilda, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, and Starlight Glimmer). KillRoy231 (talk) 01:54, December 11, 2015 (UTC)
  • Only odd seasons and films have reformed villains. KillRoy231 (talk) 01:55, December 11, 2015 (UTC)
  • As of season 6, only odd-numbered season-opening-two-parters have songs. Vengir (talkcontributions) 08:30, March 28, 2016 (UTC)
  • The largest character to appear in the series is Dragon Lord Torch. Seabreeze's child is the smallest. --Scrounge (talk) 07:23, April 17, 2016 (UTC)
    • There is a possibility that fully-powered Tirek might have been larger. It would be nice if someone could do a comparison. Vengir (talkcontributions) 21:47, April 28, 2016 (UTC)
      • Point taken. For that matter, how big does Sombra in his smoke form get? How about until someone does that comparison (I second the request for that, by the way), we just say Torch is the largest character whose size remains constant. --Scrounge (talk) 22:47, May 7, 2016 (UTC)
  • All three male villains (Discord, King Sombra, and Lord Tirek) were imprisoned by both Celestia and Luna a thousand years ago. Nightmare Moon was imprisoned by only Celestia (as she is Luna), the Dazzlings were banished by Starswirl the Bearded, and Queen Chrysalis, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, and Principal Cinch never had a thousand-year backstory (except in the comics in Chrysalis's case where she was imprisoned in a volcano by Celestia). KillRoy231 (talk) 21:36, April 28, 2016 (UTC)
    • Flim and Flam? Ahuizotl? Dr. Caballeron? Wind Rider? Svengallop? Garble? (fh) ImperfectXIII Wiki signature FANMADE ImperfectXIII OC pixel animation 21:55, April 28, 2016 (UTC)
  • Flim and Flam are the only characters who've had a major role in an episode more than once to get a song every time they do. --Scrounge (talk) 19:50, May 10, 2016 (UTC)
  • From season 3 onwards, every season has had a musical episode, but none have had more than one. --Scrounge (talk) 02:29, May 15, 2016 (UTC)
    • Unless you count the Equestria Girls films. - Jasonbres (talk) 02:34, May 15, 2016 (UTC)
      • The Equestria Girls films aren't technically counted as part of the season, but I don't count them as episodes because they're not episodes, they're films --Scrounge (talk) 06:19, May 19, 2016 (UTC)
    • Also Twilight isn't clearly heard singing in all of them, with the exception of Magical Mystery Cure.
  • So far, Twilight is clearly heard singing in only the season finales, with the exceptions of Winter Wrap-UpSuited For Success and the Season 3 premiere. All other songs where she sings in have her voice obscured by a chorus. She also rarely sings, despite being the central character. Fear Not! (talk) 06:22, May 17, 2016 (UTC)
  • So far, every even-numbered seasons has a Daring Do themed episode. --Mega Sean 45 (talk) 17:23, July 1, 2016 (UTC)
