Twilight friends S1E02

Princess Celestia: "It sounds like you're all learning so much from each other... "

After the events of Friendship is Magic, part 2, Princess Celestia gives Twilight Sparkle a new mission: To study the "magic of friendship" and report her discoveries. At the end of each episode, Twilight or her friends relay a report on friendship. The report is usually dictated by Twilight and transcribed by Spike, who then magically sends it by breathing green-colored fire on the scrolls. At times when Princess Celestia happens to be around, Twilight makes the report in person.

"Spike, take a note, please. "I, Princess Celestia, hereby decree that the unicorn, Twilight Sparkle, shall take on a new mission for Equestria. She must continue to study the "magic of friendship". She must report to me her findings, from her new home... in Ponyville."
— Princess Celestia

Starting with Lesson Zero, Princess Celestia exempts Twilight from writing a report every week, and asks that Twilight and all her friends report on their findings upon their discovery.

"From this day forth, I would like you all to report to me your findings on the magic of friendship, when, and only when, you happen to discover them."
— Princess Celestia

After the events of Magical Mystery Cure, Twilight and her friends stop sending reports to Princess Celestia altogether, and instead log their lessons and other events of note in a shared journal following Twilight's suggestion in Castle Mane-ia.

"I've just thought of a great idea! Why don't we keep a journal, just like the royal pony sisters? [...] That way, we can learn from each other! And maybe some day, other ponies will read it and learn something, too!"
— Twilight Sparkle

After the events of My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow RocksSunset Shimmer begins writing friendship reports to Twilight from the human world.

Season one

Friendship is Magic, part 2

Princess Celestia: Why so glum, my faithful student? Are you not happy that your quest is complete and you can return to your studies in Canterlot?
Twilight Sparkle: That's just it. Just when I learned how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them.

The Ticket Master

Dear Princess Celestia,
I've learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings. But when there's not enough blessings to go around, having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful. So, though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning both tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala.

Applebuck Season

Dear Princess Celestia,
My friend Applejack is the best friend a pony could ever have, and she's always there to help anypony. The only trouble is, when she needs help she finds it hard to accept it. So while friendship is about giving of ourselves to friends, it's also about accepting what our friends have to offer.
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle

Griffon the Brush Off

Dearest Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that it's hard to accept when somepony you like wants to spend time with somepony who's not so nice. Though it's impossible to control who your friends hang out with, it is possible to control your own behavior. Just continue to be a good friend. In the end, the difference between a false friend and one who's true will surely come to light.
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle

Boast Busters

Dear Princess Celestia,
I have learned a very valuable lesson about friendship: I was so afraid of being thought of as a showoff that I was hiding a part of who I am. My friends helped me realize that it's okay to be proud of your talents, and there are times when it's appropriate to show them off... Especially when you're standing up for your friends.

Dragonshy

Dear Princess Celestia,
I am happy to report that the dragon has departed our fair country, and that it was my good friend Fluttershy who convinced him to go. This adventure has taught me to never lose faith in your friends. They can be an amazing source of strength, and can help you overcome even your greatest fears.
Always your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle

Look Before You Sleep

Dear Princess Celestia,
It's hard to believe that two ponies that seem to have so little in common could ever get along. But I found out that if you embrace each other's differences, you just might be surprised to discover a way to be friends after all...

Bridle Gossip

Dear Princess Celestia,
My friends and I all learned an important lesson this week: Never judge a book by its cover. Someone may look unusual, or funny, or scary. But you have to look past that and learn who they are inside. Real friends don't care what your "cover" is; it's the contents of a pony that count. And a good friend, like a good book, is something that will last forever.
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle

Swarm of the Century

Princess Celestia: Before I have to go, would you care to give me your latest report on the "magic of friendship" in person?
Twilight Sparkle: My... report?
Princess Celestia: Haven't you learned anything about friendship?
Twilight Sparkle: (watches Pinkie Pie) Actually, I have...
I've learned that sometimes the solution to your problems can come from where you least expect it. It's a good idea to stop and listen to your friends' opinions and perspectives... Even when they don't always seem to make sense...

Winter Wrap Up

Dear Princess Celestia,
Winter Wrap Up was one of the most special things I've ever been a part of here in Ponyville. It helped me to learn that we all have hidden talents, and if we're patient and diligent we're sure to find them. And as always, with good friendship and teamwork, ponies can accomplish anything...

Call of the Cutie

Dearest Princess Celestia,
I am happy to report that one of your youngest subjects has learned a valuable lesson about friendship. Sometimes, the thing you think will cause you to lose friends and feel left out can actually be the thing that helps you make your closest friends and realize how special you are...

Fall Weather Friends

Applejack: I'm sorry you had to see us being such poor sports, Princess.
Princess Celestia: [chuckles] That's all right, Applejack. Anypony can get swept up in the excitement of competition.
Twilight Sparkle: It's important to remember that the friendship is always more important than the competition.

Suited For Success

Dear Princess Celestia,
This week my very talented friend Rarity learned that if you try to please everypony, you oftentimes end up pleasing nopony, especially yourself. And I learned this: when somepony offers to do you a favor, like making you a beautiful dress, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. [giggles]

Feeling Pinkie Keen

Dear Princess Celestia,
I am happy to report that I now realize there are wonderful things in this world you just can't explain, but that doesn't necessarily make them any less true. It just means you have to choose to believe in them. And sometimes it takes a friend to show you the way.
Pinkie Pie: Honk!
Spike: Honk.
Always your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle

After the episode aired, Lauren Faust expressed that she wishes she "could [go] back and clarify it further", since the message of the episode was misinterpreted.[1]

Sonic Rainboom

Princess Celestia: So Twilight Sparkle, did you learn anything about friendship from this experience?
Twilight Sparkle: I did, Princess. But I think Rarity learned even more than me.
Rarity: I certainly did. I learned how important it is to keep your hooves on the ground, and be there for your friends.
Princess Celestia: Excellent. Well done, Rarity.

Stare Master

Although Twilight writes a letter to Princess Celestia following Fluttershy's misadventure with the Cutie Mark Crusaders, the letter itself is never heard by the viewers. The two do discuss the lesson Fluttershy picked up from the events, however, which is likely to have been the letter's subject.

Twilight Sparkle: I was wrong about you. You certainly do know how to handle those girls.
Fluttershy: I wouldn't go that far.
Twilight Sparkle: Hm? How so?
Fluttershy: I assumed that I'd be just as good with kids as I am with animals. Boy, was I wrong. I really learned the hard way not to bite off more than I can chew.

The Show Stoppers

After the talent show, Twilight meets the Cutie Mark Crusaders and asks what they have learned from the experience.

Sweetie Belle: Well, maybe we were trying too hard.
Twilight Sparkle: Yes? And?
Scootaloo: And instead of forcing ourselves to do something that's not meant for us...
Twilight Sparkle: Yes? Yes?
Apple Bloom: We each should be embracing our true talents.
Twilight Sparkle: And that is...?
Cutie Mark Crusaders: COMEDY!

A Dog and Pony Show

Twilight Sparkle: I can't wait to write to Princess Celestia to tell her what you taught me today.
Rarity: Me? What did I teach you?
Twilight Sparkle: Just because somepony is ladylike doesn't make her weak. In fact, by using her wits, a seemingly defenseless pony can be the one who outsmarts and outshines them all.

Green Isn't Your Color

Dear Princess Celestia,
Being a good friend means being able to keep a secret, but you should never be afraid to share your true feelings with a good friend.

Over a Barrel

Dear Princess Celestia,
Friendship is a wondrous and powerful thing. Even the worst of enemies can become friends. You need understanding and compromise. You've got to share. You've got to care.
Pinkie Pie: HEY! That's what I said!
While rereading her own friendship reports in The Return of Harmony, Part 2, Twilight recites the line, "And like the path cut through the orchard, there'll always be a way through." And while the line was unheard in any episode prior, it is clearly taken from the tail end of the above report unheard due to Pinkie Pie's interruption.

A Bird in the Hoof

Twilight Sparkle: Fluttershy really did do everything she could to try to take care of Philomena for you.
Princess Celestia: And I do appreciate that your heart was in the right place, child, but all you had to do was ask me and I could have told you Philomena was a phoenix and saved you all this trouble.
Fluttershy: I know. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. Next time I'll ask before taking matters into my own hooves.
Twilight Sparkle: Should I write you a letter about that lesson, Princess?
Princess Celestia: No, that's quite all right. I think I can remember.

The Cutie Mark Chronicles

Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned something amazing! Everypony everywhere has a special magical connection with her friends, maybe even before she's met them. If you're feeling lonely and you're still searching for your true friends, just look up in the sky. Who knows, maybe you and your future best friends are all looking at the same rainbow.
Spike: Gross! When did you get to be so cheesy?
Twilight Sparkle: Just write it, Spike!

Owl's Well That Ends Well

Dear Princess Celestia,
This is Spike, writing to you about my adventures. This week, I learned that being jealous, and telling lies, gets you nowhere in friendship. I also learned that there's plenty of love for every friend to share. So, from here on out, I promise that I, Spike, will-

Spike falls asleep before finishing the letter.

Party of One

Dear Princess Celestia,
I am writing to you from the most delightful party. I'm not only having a great time with my friends, but also was given the opportunity to learn a valuable lesson about friendship. Always expect the best from your friends and never assume the worst. Rest assured that a good friend always has your best interests at heart.
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle

The Best Night Ever

Twilight Sparkle: Pardon me, Princess, but tonight was just... awful.
Princess Celestia: Oh, Twilight. The Grand Galloping Gala is always awful.
Twilight Sparkle: It is?
Princess Celestia: That is why I was thrilled you were all attending. I was hoping you could liven things up a bit. And while the evening may not have gone as you planned, I'm sure you'll agree that in the end it didn't turn out so bad for this group of friends.
Twilight Sparkle: You're right, Princess. Friends have a way of making even the worst of times into something pretty great.

Season two

The Return of Harmony Part 2

When Discord leaves Twilight's spirit broken and her faith in friendship lost, Princess Celestia sends all of Twilight's friendship reports back to her. The letters Twilight reads include the ones she wrote in Bridle Gossip, Over a Barrel, and The Cutie Mark Chronicles. These reports ultimately renew Twilight's spirit and faith in friendship and help her learn a new lesson which she proclaims in the group's final confrontation with Discord.

Twilight Sparkle: I'll tell you what we've learned Discord. We've learned that friendship isn't always easy. But there's no doubt it's worth fighting for.

Lesson Zero

Starting with the episode Lesson Zero, Princess Celestia exempts Twilight from submitting a report every week, and asks that all six ponies make reports about their findings on the magic of friendship when they come upon them.

Applejack: [clears throat] Dear Princess Celestia, we're writin' to you today because today we all learned a little somethin' about friendship.
Fluttershy: We learned that you should take your friends' worries seriously.
Rainbow Dash: Even if you don't think that she has anything to worry about.
Rarity: And that you shouldn't let your worries turn a small problem...
Pinkie Pie: ...into an enormously huge entire-town-in-total-chaos Princess-has-to-come-and-save-the-day problem!
Applejack: Signed, your loyal subjects.

Luna Eclipsed

Dear Princess Celestia,
When you first sent me to Ponyville, I didn't know anything about friendship. I met somepony tonight who was having the same problem - your sister, Princess Luna! She taught me that one of the best things you can do with friendship is to give it to others, and help them find it themselves! And I'm happy to report that all of Ponyville has learned that even though somepony seems a little intimidating, even scary, when you offer them your friendship, you'll discover a whole new pony underneath. And even if my Star Swirl the Bearded costume didn't go over, this still turned out to be the best Nightmare Night ever!

Sisterhooves Social

Sisterhooves Social is the first episode with a friendship report where Twilight isn't present during its creation. It is written by Rarity and Sweetie Belle.

Rarity: Very well then, what shall we write to the Princess?
Sweetie Belle: I'll start. Havin' a sister is just about the bestest thing in the world. But it sure isn't the easiest.
Rarity: I agree that being sisters is a wonderful thing, but it takes teamwork. Sometimes it's about compromising. Sometimes it's about accepting each others' differences. But mostly, it's about having fun together. Even if it means getting your hooves a little bit dirty.
Sweetie Belle: A lot dirty.
Rarity: A little bit dirty.
Sweetie Belle: A lot dirty.
Rarity: A little bit dirty!
Sweetie Belle: A lo-
Spike: Hold it, hold it! How about "a medium amount of dirty, not too little, not too much, just right"?
Rarity and Sweetie Belle: Deal!

The Cutie Pox

The report for this episode is written by Apple Bloom.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Waiting for what your heart desires can be really hard. So, you may try to take a shortcut. But this dishonesty never works, because you didn't earn what your heart desired. The only cure is being honest with yourself, and others. And that's something every heart desires.

May the Best Pet Win!

The report for this episode is written by Rainbow Dash.

Dear Princess Celestia,
I used to think the most important traits to look for in a pet, or any best friend, were all physical competitive abilities. But now I can see how short-sighted and shallow that was. Today I learned what the most important quality really is. A certain kind of spirit. A stick-to-it-ive-ness. A never give up, can-do attitude -- that's the mark of a real winner. And this tortoise has it.

The Mysterious Mare Do Well

The report for this episode is ghost written by Spike, then rewritten by Rainbow Dash, but is never heard. However, prior to this, the lesson comes out in a conversation between the main characters, and is likely to have been at least part of the final report.

Twilight Sparkle: What we're trying to say is, it's great to be really good at something, but it's important to act with grace and humility.
Rainbow Dash: Ohhh. That makes loads more sense. Yeah. You're right. And I guess I should've also acted with grace and humility when others outshine me.

Sweet and Elite

The report for this episode was to be written by Rarity, but she then tells it to Princess Celestia in person.

Rarity: Dear Princess Celestia, I wanted to tell you about the important lesson I learned during my visit.
Princess Celestia: Now that I would like to hear.
Rarity: I learned that no matter where you go in life, you should never forget that you are the product of your home and your friends. And that is something always to be proud of, no matter what.

Secret of My Excess

The report for this episode is written by Spike.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned a great lesson about friendship. Well, you might think that it would feel good to get lots and lots of stuff, but it doesn't feel nearly as good as giving something special to somepony you really care about. But I learned that it truly is better to give than to receive, and that kindness and generosity are what lead to true friendship. And that's more valuable than anything in the world. Well... almost anything.

Hearth's Warming Eve

Applejack (as Smart Cookie): Then... this is our fault. We three tribes... we brought this blizzard to our home by fightin' and not trustin' each other. Now it's destroyin' this land too.
Twilight Sparkle (as Clover the Clever): And now our bodies will become as cold as our hearts... all because we were foolish enough to hate.
[...]
Applejack (as Smart Cookie): No matter what our differences, we're all ponies.

Family Appreciation Day

Applejack: So I take it Family Appreciation Day went well?
Apple Bloom: Did it? My Granny Smith is super special! I just forgot that for a little while.

Baby Cakes

The report for this episode is written by Pinkie Pie.

Dear Princess Celestia,
I've always had fun playing with little kids and I thought babysitting them is just more playtime, right? Wrong! Being a caregiver is way more responsibility than just being a playmate, and today I learned that sometimes, our desire for responsibility can outrun our actual ability to handle it.

The Last Roundup

The report for this episode is written by Applejack.

Dear Princess Celestia,
It's a tad easier to be proud when you come in first than it is when you finish further back. But there's no reason to hide when you don't do as well as you'd hoped. You can't run away from your problems. Better to run to your friends and family.

The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000

The report for this episode is written by Applejack.

Dear Princess Celestia,
I wanted to share my thoughts with you. [clears throat] I didn't learn anything! Ha! I was right all along! If you take your time to do things the right way, your work will speak for itself. Sure, I could tell you I learned somethin' about how my friends are always there to help me, and I can count on them no matter what, but truth is, I knew that already, too.

Read It and Weep

Twilight Sparkle: Reading is something everypony can enjoy, if they just give it a try.
Rainbow Dash: Yeah, I get it. I shouldn't knock something until I've tried it.
Twilight Sparkle: That's a great lesson, and it would make a great letter to the Princess.

Hearts and Hooves Day

Cheerilee: We appreciate that you care about us and want us to be happy, but–
Apple Bloom: But no matter how good our intentions might have been, we shoulda never meddled in your relationship.
Scootaloo: No pony can force two ponies to be together.
Sweetie Belle: It's up to everypony to choose that very special somepony for themselves.

A Friend in Deed

The report for this episode is written by Pinkie Pie.

Dear Princess Celestia,
There are many different kinds of friends, and many ways to express friendship. Some friends like to run and laugh and play together. But others just like to be left alone, and that's fine too. But the best thing about friendship is being able to make your friends smile.

Putting Your Hoof Down

The report for this episode is written by Fluttershy.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Sometimes it can be hard for a shy pony like me to stand up for myself. When I first tried it, I didn't like the pony I became, but I learned that standing up for yourself isn't the same as changing who you are. Now I know how to put my hoof down without being unpleasant or mean.

It's About Time

Spike: I don't get it. If future Twilight wasn't warning you about a disaster, then what was she trying to tell you?
Twilight Sparkle: [giggles] I don't know. But I do know one thing. I look ridiculous.
Spike and Twilight Sparkle: [laughing]
Spike: Yeah, you do!
Twilight Sparkle: And it's all because I couldn't stop worrying and let the future handle itself! Well, not any more. From now on, I'm gonna solve problems as they come, and stop worrying about every little thing!

Dragon Quest

The report for this episode is written by Spike.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Seeing the Great Dragon Migration made me wonder what it meant to be a dragon, but now I realize that who I am is not the same as what I am. I may have been born a dragon, but Equestria and my pony friends had taught me how to be kind, loyal, and true. I'm proud to call Ponyville my home, and to have my pony friends as my family.
Yours truly,
Spike

Hurricane Fluttershy

The report for this episode is written by Fluttershy.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Sometimes you can feel like what you have to offer is too little to make a difference, but today, I learned that everypony's contributions is important, no matter how small. If you just keep your head high, do your best and believe in yourself, anything can happen.

Ponyville Confidential

The lesson for this episode is voiced over by the Cutie Mark Crusaders, which comes out as an apology for what they have caused to the citizens of Ponyville through their gossip column.

Sweetie Belle: To the citizens of Ponyville, for a while now, you've been reading this column to get the latest dirt and the hottest buzz. But this will be my final piece. We want to apologize for the pain and embarrassment we've caused.
Apple Bloom: Y'see, I'm actually three little fillies, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo.
Scootaloo: As the popularity of our column grew, we got swept up in the hype. We knew that what we were doing didn't feel quite right, but we ignored the guilt because everypony seemed to want to read what we were writing.
Sweetie Belle: From now on, we promise to respect everypony else's privacy, and we won't engage in hurtful gossip any more.
Apple Bloom: All we can do is ask for your forgiveness, Ponyville. Signing off for the very last time, XOXO, Gabby Gums.

MMMystery on the Friendship Express

The report for this episode is written by Pinkie Pie.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned it's not good to jump to conclusions. You have to find out all the facts before saying somepony did something. If you don't, you could end up blaming somepony for something they never did. This could hurt their feelings. And it could make you feel really foolish. So from now on, I will make sure to always get all the facts.

A Canterlot Wedding - Part 2

Princess Celestia: This is your victory as much as theirs. You persisted in the face of doubt, and your actions led to your being able to bring the real Princess Cadance back to us. Learning to trust your instincts is a valuable lesson to learn.

Season three

Friendship letters are less prominent in the third season. The lessons are mostly delivered through dialogue.

The Crystal Empire - Part 2

Princess Celestia: Twilight, as I understand it, Spike brought Princess Cadance the Crystal Heart because you weren't sure how quickly you could find a way to escape the tower. You weren't willing to risk the future of the citizens of the Crystal Empire in an effort to guarantee your own. Far better that I have a student who understands the meaning of self-sacrifice than one who only looks out for her own best interests.

Too Many Pinkie Pies

The report for this episode is written by Pinkie Pie.

Dear Princess Celestia,
It's great to have fun, but it's even greater to have great friends. And having lots of friends means that you sometimes have to make choices as to who you'll spend your time with. But that's okay, because good friends will always give you lots of opportunities to have fun. So even if you're missing out, it's never for long.
Respectfully yours,
Pinkie Pie

One Bad Apple

Apple Bloom: Y'see Babs, we were tryin' to get you back for bein' a big bully...
Scootaloo: Then Applejack told us about how you were being bullied back in Manehattan.
Sweetie Belle: And we figured out you were just doing it to avoid getting picked on in Ponyville. But, by then... we were the ones being bullies. And... Oh, why does life have to be so ironic?!
Apple Bloom: Guess what we're trying to say is...
Cutie Mark Crusaders: We're sorry.
Babs Seed: [blows] I'm sorry too.
Applejack: [sighs] Y'know, this all could've been avoided if y'all just came to me in the very beginning.
Sweetie Belle: That's what I kept on saying!

Magic Duel

Twilight Sparkle: My magic alone wasn't powerful enough to take on the Alicorn Amulet head to head, so I needed to use a different kind of magic – the magic of friendship.

Sleepless in Ponyville

Princess Luna: Hmmm... Is the headless horse really what frightens you the most?
Scootaloo: Mm-mm. I'm afraid Rainbow Dash will find out I'm not as tough as she thinks I am.
Princess Luna: Everypony has fears, Scootaloo. Everypony must face them in their own way. But they must be faced, or the nightmares will continue. [...] Face your fears!

Wonderbolts Academy

Rainbow Dash: Yeah, well that "effective tactic" nearly took out my friends! No disrespect ma'am, but there's a big difference between pushing yourself as hard as you can, and just being reckless. And if being reckless is what gets rewarded around here, if that's what it means to be a Wonderbolt, then I don't want any part of it.

Apple Family Reunion

The report for this episode is written by Applejack.

Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned a great lesson about family, which, if you think about it, is the first group of friends you ever met. Turns out that when you're with folks you care about, you don't have to do much to make that time memorable. Even the simplest of activities can take on a whole lotta meanin'! And you'll find that you'll remember the who long after you've forgotten the what.
Your humble subject,
Applejack

Spike at Your Service

Applejack: I know this "code" thing's important to you, but if something like this comes up in the future, think maybe we could go back to my code—say, "That's what friends do"—and leave it at that? I promise I won't think of you as any less noble.

Keep Calm and Flutter On

Discord: I like it better my way, but I guess when you're friends you can't always have things exactly your way all the time, eh?
[...]
Twilight Sparkle: You were right when you said Fluttershy would be the one to find the way to reform Discord. By treating Discord as a friend, she got him to realize that friendship was actually important to him. And something that, once he had, he didn't want to lose.
Fluttershy: Go on. Say it...
Discord: [groans] Alright. Friendship is magic.

Just for Sidekicks

Rainbow Dash: Huh, bummer Spike had to miss out on all this. He woulda' had fun here.
Twilight Sparkle: I'm sure he's having a great time watching all the critters back at home.
Applejack: Think he's still got a handle on things?
Twilight Sparkle: If he's staying calm and collected, I bet he's doing a terrific job as a leader.
Spike: Go ahead, Bunny. Do your worst. I deserve it. I ignored you, tried to pawn you off on someone else, I didn't take these silly things out, or fluff them like I was supposed to. I wasn't really thinking of you at all. Any of you. I just wanted the jewels. I hope you'll all forgive me someday.

Games Ponies Play

Rainbow Dash: [sighs] You know, it feels good to help others get something they always wanted but never had. Almost as good as getting it yourself. Almost.

Magical Mystery Cure

Twilight Sparkle: A little while ago, my teacher and mentor Princess Celestia sent me to live in Ponyville. She sent me to study friendship, which is something I didn't really care much about. But now, on a day like today, I can honestly say I wouldn't be standing here if it weren't for the friendships I've made with all of you. Each one of you taught me something about friendship, and for that, I will always be grateful. Today, I consider myself the luckiest pony in Equestria. Thank you, friends. Thank you, everypony!

My Little Pony Equestria Girls

Twilight Sparkle: The magic of friendship doesn't just exist in Equestria, it's everywhere. You can seek it out. Or you can forever be alone. The choice is yours.
[...]
Principal Celestia: I believe this belongs to you. A true princess in any world leads not by forcing others to bow before her, but by inspiring others to stand with her. We have all seen that you are capable of just that. I hope you see it too, Princess Twilight.

Princess Twilight Sparkle - Part 2

Twilight Sparkle: You're right about one thing, Applejack. The Elements of Harmony did bring us together. But it isn't the Elements that will keep us connected. It's our friendship. And it's more important and more powerful than any magic. My new role in Equestria may mean I have to take on new responsibilities, and our friendships may be tested, but it will never, ever be broken.

Castle Mane-ia

Twilight Sparkle: Well, it's good to know that whenever your imagination is getting away from you, a good friend can help you rein it in. And even though I didn't find anything out about the mysterious chest, I'm glad I was here to help all of you.
Rarity: You certainly did that, Twilight.
Rainbow Dash: Yeah! Why weren't you scared?
Twilight Sparkle: Reading Celestia's diary made it hard to be afraid, because I knew what it was like when she and Luna lived here. Knowing something about the past made it easier to deal with my problems in the present, even the scary ones.

Following Twilight's suggestion in the episode, she and her friends share a journal in which they log their findings, which replaces the need to send reports to Princess Celestia.

Daring Don't

The journal entry for this episode is written by Rainbow Dash.

Just had the coolest adventure with the coolest pony ever. Came this close to blowing it because I got so wrapped up in how awesome she was, I almost forgot about how awesome I was. Good thing I didn't, 'cause it gave me a chance to show her how important it is to put your trust in somepony else.

Flight to the Finish

Scootaloo: But flying is what Pegasus ponies are supposed to do! You flew when you carried the flag in the games!
Rainbow Dash: But that was me! You're you! And it just doesn't matter if you can fly or not. Your routine was amazing because it represented exactly what makes Ponyville special.
[...]
Scootaloo: But Rainbow Dash... what if... what if my wings never grow? What if I never fly?
Rainbow Dash: Listen, Scootaloo. Maybe you'll fly someday, or maybe you won't. You're all kinds of awesome anyway.

Power Ponies

Twilight Sparkle: We wouldn't have made it without you, Spike. And I hope you realize that just because we don't always need your help, it doesn't mean that we don't think you're helpful.
Spike: And that you don't have to have superpowers to be a super friend.

Bats!

Applejack: Be sure to put in there that I came to see that my short-term solution was a little short-sighted.
Fluttershy: And that you shouldn't let anypony pressure you into doing something you don't think is right. Sometimes you have to tell even your closest friends "no".

Rarity Takes Manehattan

The journal entry for this episode is written by Rarity.

Manehattan was simply grand. It was in this magnificent metropolis that I learned that while there are ponies who will take advantage of your generosity, you should never, ever let that cause you to abandon your generous spirit. Nothing feels worse than taking advantage of the giving nature of your friends.

Pinkie Apple Pie

Applejack: Think I'll write about how bein' a good family isn't about bein' perfect as much as it is about bein' able to get through the rough patches together. About bein' able to forgive each other for mistakes.
Apple Bloom: Don't forget to mention how really good friends can also feel like your family.

Rainbow Falls

The journal entry for this episode is written by Rainbow Dash.

Oh, I can't deny it. I love to win! But if I ever have to choose between winning and my friends, I'm always gonna choose my friends. 'Cause as much as I love winning, I love them waaaaay more.

Three's A Crowd

The journal entry for this episode is dictated by Twilight and written by Spike.

I think it's pretty clear that my visit with Cadance didn't go quite the way I expected. But in the end, I realized that when you're with a good friend, even the most chaotic day can end up being a great experience.

Pinkie Pride

Rainbow Dash: Pinkie, wait! I'm sorry I got all swept away by Cheese Sandwich.
[...]
Pinkie Pie: No. I'm sorry I let my pride get in the way of you having the best birth-iversary ever. Cheese Sandwich really is a super duper party planner, and he'll be a terrific headliner. I should've been a big enough pony to admit that and let you have your day.
Rainbow Dash: But don't you get it? You're both super duper party ponies. Sure, Cheese Sandwich is a great guest party pony, but you're Ponyville's permanent party pony. Nopony could ever take your place, and we could never have a party without you.

The journal entry for this episode is written by Pinkie Pie but not heard. The entry can be seen in the book The Journal of the Two Sisters.[2]

Simple Ways

The journal entry for this episode is written by Rarity.

Organizing the Ponyville Days Celebration was one of the hardest things I've ever done. But I learned an important lesson: real friends will like you for who you are, and changing yourself to impress them is no way to make new ones. And when you're as fabulous as I am, it's practically a crime.

Filli Vanilli

The journal entry for this episode is written by Fluttershy.

Sometimes, being afraid can stop you from doing something that you love. But hiding behind these fears means you're only hiding from your true self. It's much better to face those fears so you can shine and be the best pony you can possibly be.

Twilight Time

The journal entry for this episode is written by Sweetie Belle.

I guess Twilight must not be so super upset anymore, 'cause she's letting us do a diary entry like our sisters do. Boy, did we get our priorities mixed up. We started acting special because we were friends with someone special. We almost forgot the real reason she's special: because she's our friend. But she forgave us, and, like magic, things are good as new. That's the kind of magic I really wanna get good at...now that I'm getting so good at the other kind. We're just glad Twilight Time is back to normal...Well, almost back to normal.

It Ain't Easy Being Breezies

The journal entry for this episode is written by Fluttershy.

My experiences with the Breezies have helped me to see that kindness can take many forms. And, sometimes, being too kind can actually keep a friend from doing what they need to do. Pushing them away may seem cruel, but it's sometimes the kindest thing you can do.

Somepony to Watch Over Me

Applejack: I guess I did get a little carried away watchin' over you, and if you hadn't snuck out like you did, maybe I wouldn't have figured that out.
Apple Bloom: Yes! Now that is the kind of looking out for me I can definitely appreciate.

Maud Pie

Pinkie Pie: I'm sorry I put so much pressure on everypony to bond. I only wanted my friends to get to know my amazing older sister.
[...]
Twilight Sparkle: Pinkie Pie's happiness means as much to us as it does to you. And we're sorry we couldn't see it sooner. The thing that makes us click and makes a special bond between us is how much we all love Pinkie Pie.

For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils

Sweetie Belle: I'm sorry I got jealous about those dresses. I know now that you were only trying to help.
Rarity: Oh, Sweetie, I forgive you!

Leap of Faith

The journal entry for this episode is written by Applejack

Bein' honest sure gets hard when it seems like the truth might hurt somepony you care about. But I think believin' a lie can end up hurtin' them even more. Maybe some ponies don't care about that – but I sure ain't one of them.

Testing Testing 1, 2, 3

The journal entry for this episode is written by Twilight.

Rainbow Dash finally learned the history of the Wonderbolts. But she's not the only pony that needed a lesson. I needed to learn something just as important. One way of learning isn't better than another. After all, every pony is unique and individual.

Trade Ya!

Twilight Sparkle: None of those ponies had anything valuable enough to trade for my books. Not because these books belong to a princess, but because they helped make me who I am. Just like you said. This was the one I was so absorbed in the day Spike decided he owed Applejack a life debt. And this one reminds me of the day I got it – which was the day I met you. I may not ever need to read these again, but that doesn't mean they don't have value.
[...]
Rainbow Dash: I did want that book, a lot. I said I wanted it more than anything in all of Equestria. But there's no thing that's worth as much to me as a friend. I might have forgotten that for a little bit, but it's true.

Inspiration Manifestation

The journal entry for this episode is written by Spike.

Today I learned how important it is to be honest with your friends when they're doing something that you don't think is right. A true friend knows that you're speaking up because you care about them.

Equestria Games

The journal entry for this episode is written by Spike.

You know, it's kinda weird. No matter how many times others tell you you're great, all the praise in the world means nothing if you don't feel it inside. Sometimes, to feel good about yourself, you gotta let go of the past. That way, when the time comes to let your greatness fly, you'll be able to light up the whole sky.

Twilight's Kingdom - Part 2

Discord: Tirek tricked me into believing that he could offer me something more valuable than friendship. But there is nothing worth more. I see that now. He lied when he said that this medallion was given as a sign of gratitude and loyalty. But when I say that it is a sign of our true friendship, I am telling the truth.
[...]
Princess Celestia: You've been wondering what you are meant to do as a princess. Do you know now?
Twilight Sparkle: As princess, I believe I have the power to spread the magic of friendship across Equestria! That is the role I am meant to have in our world! The role I choose to have! But I didn't defeat Tirek on my own, it took all of us to unlock the chest!
Princess Celestia: Then it is unlikely you are meant to take on this task alone. You are now Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship! But what is the Princess of Friendship without her friends?

My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks

Sunset Shimmer: Ever since you started this band, you've been letting little things get to you. I never said anything 'cause I didn't feel like it was my place. Not when I'm so new to this whole "friendship" thing. I still have a lot to learn. But I do know that if you don't work out even the smallest problems right at the start, the magic of friendship can be turned into something else.
Twilight Sparkle: I can't believe all this tension was happening right under my nose and I didn't realize it. I'm supposed to be the one with all the answers. And all I've done since I got here is let you down.
Sunset Shimmer: I don't think anyone is supposed to have all the answers. But you can count on your friends to help you find them.

The friendship lesson for this film is written by Sunset Shimmer.

Dear Princess Twilight,
Missing you already, and I hope you'll be back soon. Things are definitely looking up for me here at Canterlot High. But I know I still have a lot to learn about friendship. Hope you don't mind if I write to you for advice when I need it.
Your friend,
Sunset Shimmer

Season five

The Cutie Map - Part 2

Starlight Glimmer: Wh– I studied that spell for years! How can you—
Twilight Sparkle: I studied magic for years too! But what I didn't know then was that studying could only take me so far. Each of my friends has taught me something different about myself! It was their unique gifts and passions and personalities that helped bring out the magic inside of me! I never would have learned that I represent the element of magic without these five! And I certainly wouldn't be here to stop you now!
[...]
Party Favor: We all came to this village because we were searching for something missing from our lives. We thought Starlight had given it to us, but now... now it seems it was in front of us all along. It's us!

Castle Sweet Castle

ApplejackWhat really makes home feel like home isn't what it looks like. It's the memories you make when you're there.
Rarity: So we've made something that celebrates the memories we've made with you since you moved to Ponyville. [...] We were hoping that being able to look at your beautiful, old memories would inspire you to make new ones.

Bloom & Gloom

Apple Bloom: Yeah... I guess I've been pretty worried about gettin' my cutie mark.
Princess Luna: Well, that is the same as worrying about who you are. That is all a cutie mark is. If you cannot accept who you are, your life might seem like a bad dream.
Apple Bloom: But if I like who I am, do you think other ponies will too?
Princess Luna: Of course.
Apple Bloom: Then it doesn't matter what my cutie mark is!
[...]
Apple Bloom: And even though we're all a little scared, a cutie mark won't change who we are or how everypony feels about us!
Sweetie Belle: It's lucky we're all scared of the same things. That way we can help and remind each other to just be who we are!

Tanks for the Memories

No friendship lessons are clearly stated in this episode. Rainbow Dash learns to accept Tank's hibernation.

Appleoosa's Most Wanted

Trouble Shoes: What she says is true. This here entertainin' y'all with my klutzin'? That's what I was supposed to be doin'. I know it now. I didn't mean no harm, honest! I just ain't never loved nothin' like I love the rodeo, so I kept on sneakin' back and makin' a big old mess of things. Turns out I was just a-lookin' at my cutie mark all wrong.
[...]
Apple Bloom: Ain't it bad enough that you get to go back to Ponyville with a shiny trophy, and all we're bringing back is these same old blank flanks?
Applejack: Y'all helped Trouble Shoes realize what his cutie mark really means. Ain't that a nice feelin' you can take back with you?

Make New Friends but Keep Discord

Fluttershy: I invited a friend to a party! I didn't abandon you! What if you had a friend that you could discuss chaos-based magic with? Would that mean we weren't friends anymore?!
Discord: Uh... [stuttering] No, I suppose not. It would just mean that I'd have different friends for different things...

The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone

Pinkie Pie: The map didn't send us here to find the lost Idol of Boreas. It sent us here to replace it with something better!
Gilda: Nothing's better than gold to a griffon.
Pinkie Pie: That's because you don't have friendship! If you can learn to care about each other again, Griffonstone could be a mightier kingdom than it ever was before! And you don't need some golden idol to do that. You just need each other.

Slice of Life

Mayor Mare: It's remarkable to me how a story like Cranky's search for Matilda could fill this room with such a unique collection of ponies. It makes you realize that every pony is the star of their own story. And it's not just the main characters in our stories that make life so rich; it's everypony. Those who play big parts, and those who play small. If it weren't for everypony in this room, and many more who couldn't be here today, Cranky and Matilda's lives wouldn't be as full and vibrant as they are.

Princess Spike

Spike: It's funny. Here we are at a summit that brings together ponies from all across Equestria, and all I could think about was myself. You all came here to celebrate the things that make each of our cities so unique and special. But instead of getting into the spirit of things like all of you, I used my friend's position to make myself feel good.
[...]
Manehattan Delegate: You know, the whole idea of the statue is that when each of us plays our own small part, it adds up to somethin' great.

Party Pooped

Pinkie Pie: Prince Rutherford, every time we tried to make something in Equestria feel like Yakyakistan, we couldn't get it right. When I got back from my adventure, I realized something. We shouldn't try to make Equestria feel like your home. We should try to make you feel at home in Equestria. And that means showing you why we love it here, so you'll love it too.

Amending Fences

Twilight Sparkle: This party can't make up for the way I hurt you. But please, don't let my mistake be the reason you can't be friends with anypony else.

Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?

Princess Luna: How can I forgive myself? I am no better now than I was then. My creation is about to turn the world into a living nightmare!
Twilight Sparkle: But look at what you're doing! Nightmare Moon would've wanted the Tantabus to turn Equestria into a nightmare. You're doing everything you can to stop it! Don't you see? That proves you're not the same pony you were then! Everypony who knows you know that Nightmare Moon is in the past. We all trust you, Luna. Do you trust us enough to believe we're right?
Princess Luna: ...I do!

Canterlot Boutique

Sassy Saddles: Oh, Rarity, I'm so sorry. I focused on that one dress, and the rest of Rarity's Royal Regalia paid the price.
Rarity: Well, so did the Princess Dress. The more I sold, the more each dress lost its time, love, and couture, becoming terrible, lackluster, and common.
Sassy Saddles: I think I finally understand the Rules of Rarity [...] And I promise to run everything following your rules.

Rarity Investigates!

Wind Rider: Sometimes you gotta play dirty to be the best!
Rainbow Dash: That's not what being a Wonderbolt is all about.
Soarin: She's right! Wonderbolts look out for each other!
[...]
Rainbow Dash: Rare, I couldn't have done it without you. And I'm sorry I doubted you. But why didn't you tell me what you were doing?
Rarity: Well, I didn't want to get your hopes up until I was sure, and I couldn't be sure until I saw that chocolate stain.
Rainbow Dash: Thank you for believing in me, even when I was doubting you. I'm some friend, huh?
Rarity: Actually, you're quite a good friend. You went to get Spitfire, even though it meant you couldn't fly today.

Made in Manehattan

Rarity: [gasps] I understand now! It all makes perfect sense!
Applejack: Huh?
Rarity: I know why the map called you here!
Applejack: You do?
Rarity: If Twilight had used her magic to fix the park, it wouldn't have fixed the real problem, which is that these Manehattan ponies didn't think they had time to do something for their community! But by building that stage and making sure the play went on, you showed them that just by doing something small, you can make a big difference!

Brotherhooves Social

Big McIntosh: I guess I just thought if I could... fill in for Applejack at the Social, and get you a blue ribbon, well, I could be somepony you looked up to again. Be your hero again. Even if it was for just a day. It was foolish, an' I'm ashamed. Please, I just wanna be alone right now.
Apple Bloom: Yeah, well, too bad, you big goof! 'Cause I'm not goin' anywhere. An' I know that you're always gonna be here when I need you. Heck, you'll do a whole obstacle course in high heels if you think it'll help me get somethin' I want. You're my big brother. You've always been a hero to me, Big Mac, and you always will be. I'm real sorry I haven't been lettin' you know that's how I feel. Guess both of us have been holdin' back when it comes to expressin' ourselves, huh?

Scare Master

Fluttershy: We could celebrate Nightmare Night together every year. But the truth is I really don't want to.
Pinkie Pie: You don't?!
Rarity: But you've done it. You found a way that we can all have a fabulous time together.
Fluttershy: Yes, but I've also realized something. You all may love Nightmare Night and I may be good at being a part of it, but it's no fun for me to see my friends feel like they're in danger, even if I know they're not. I really don't like it. It's just not my cup of tea.
Pinkie Pie: Spoooooooooky tea?
Fluttershy: No. Just regular tea. We do lots of fun things together, but I'm afraid this just isn't gonna be one of them. Actually, I'm not afraid. I'm perfectly fine with it.
Twilight Sparkle: Then we are, too.

My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Friendship Games

Sunset Shimmer: This isn't the way! I know you feel powerful right now, like you can have everything you want! I've been where you are, I've made the same mistake you're making! I put on a crown and, just like you, I was overwhelmed by the magic it contained! I thought it could get me everything I wanted!
Midnight Sparkle: Oh, you're wrong. Unlike you, I can have everything I want!
Sunset Shimmer: No, you can't. Even with all that magic and power, you'll still be alone! True magic comes from honesty! Loyalty! Laughter! Generosity! Kindness! I understand you, Twilight, and I want to show you the most important magic of all...
[transformation noises]
Daydream Shimmer: ...the Magic of Friendship!
[...]
Daydream Shimmer: Take my hand, Twilight. Let me show you there's another way...just like someone once did for me.
[...]
Sci-Twi: I may know about a lot of things, but friendship isn't one really one of them. And I'm definitely not gonna learn more about it by being alone all the time.
[...]
Fluttershy: Still no word from Princess Twilight?
Sunset Shimmer: Not yet. But I think I may have figured out how magic works in this world. We pony up when we're showing the truest part of ourselves. I was so busy waiting for someone else to give me the answers that I gave up looking for them myself. I'm sure there will be more magical problems that pop up in this world, but like Applejack said, Princess Twilight has her own problems to worry about in Equestria. We can't expect her to always be around to help us.

Jade Singer: You don't know what it's like being that great out of the gate. And having to live up to that a second time.
Twilight Sparkle: But I do. When I tested for magic school, I made such a splash that Princess Celestia took me as her personal student. I have to live up to that every day.
Jade Singer: How do you do it?
Twilight Sparkle: It's hard, but then I was sent to Ponyville and I made friends, and then it wasn't so bad. They support me. They celebrate my victories and catch me when I fall.

Additionally, the following letter is addressed from Princess Celestia to Twilight Sparkle:

Twilight Sparkle,
I ask you to write me letters about your lessons in friendship. Today I have to write YOU one.
You see, I was friends with Jade Singer years ago, but her fame and her fear turned her cold and distant. One of the last times I spoke with her was when I allowed her to "hide" as the archivist.
Thank you for taking care of her, for reaching her, for bringing her talent back into the world. But most of all--
--thank you for bringing back my friend.

You're never too old to be a part of what you love!

Dear Princess Celestia,
If there's one thing I've learned this Hearth's Warming Eve, it's that holidays can get a might crazy. Seems like there's always a million things to do, and so little time to do it!
But if you don't take a moment to slow down—really slow down—and spend a little time with your family, you might miss what the holiday is truly all about...
...comin' together, and appreciating just how important every single pony is. After all, even those closest to you...
...might just surprise ya.

But Mimickers like Imp want to learn about the world—we just wanted Imp to turn into fun stuff.
We should have treated her like a friend, not a toy.

Dear Spike,
Thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to spend the day on an adventure.
As a princess and a teacher, I don't often have the chance to have fun. It was a great pleasure to journey with you.
But more than that, you reminded me that sometimes our roles can change.
A teacher can become an adventurer. A sidekick can become a leader. A student can become a princess.
And sometimes, someone we hardly know...
...can become a friend.
Your friend forever,

Friends Forever Issue #7

The following letter is addressed from Princess Luna to Princess Celestia:

Dear sister, I learned something today.
It's important to laugh. The more important you are, the more important it is to learn to laugh at yourself.
Everypony needs to laugh and everypony needs a good joke or prank now and again. And the mark of a good friendship is being able to share a laugh, even when it's about something you never meant to be funny.

Friends Forever Issue #13

The journal entry for this issue is written by Rarity.

Sometimes you learn things about friendship when you least expect it.
Sometimes I think I know everything there is to know about being fashionable.
I forget that every pony has their own fashion and their own sense of style, and that just because it's different doesn't mean it's wrong.
And sometimes the important thing isn't to love the same things as your friends, but to let them love it and share that love with you.
Sometimes it's hard to put aside the things you want to do and ask what your friends are interested in.
But if you never ask, you may never know just how amazing your friends are.

Friends Forever Issue #15

Mayor Mare: This town is made up of all sorts of different types of ponies. Each and every one of us has our strengths and weaknesses. Together, we can get through anything. I could demand that everything be done how I want it. But I learned the hard way that's not always the best way to do things. Ponyville can get a little crazy, but we're a team... no matter what!

Friends Forever Issue #16

Diamond Tiara: [narrating] I learned something today. Friends are good... or whatever, but they can't be bought. I'm happy to have one friend who understands me and knows all the really great stuff in life can be bought. Look at them. Sure, they're happy now. But when they get home they won't have a butler to make them hot chocolate and fluff their pillows when they wake him up in the middle of the night. And that's the really important thing. But who needs friends when you're a winner. And that's what Silver Spoon and I are. Winners. And winning is real happiness. Look at how happy we are. Or whatever...

Friends Forever Issue #18

Rainbow Dash: Who cares what they all think? The ponies who really count are the ones back in Ponyville. The ones who love you for who you are.
[...]
Rainbow Dash: Gee, Fluttershy, can you ever forgive me?
Fluttershy: Of course I can, Rainbow Dash! And I guess I shouldn't let my insecurities cause me to hide under a table! With the support of my friends, I can face anything.
[...]
Cirrus Cloud: You've taught me, and a lot of other ponies, that it's OK to be different, as long as you stay true to yourself.

Equestria Girls Holiday Special

Rarity: After all, you're family! And you know what I love about family? No matter how big your family is... there's always room for more.

Dear Princess Celestia,
I've learned that sometimes the way we expect things to go isn't always the way they'll end up going. Life never seems to work that way. So the real challenge is to welcome new approaches in getting things done. If we can let go of what we thought was the right way of doing things, and instead choose to work together to find a new way to achieve our goals, well, anything is possible! Especially with the help of all your friends.

Storybooks

Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell

Twilight Sparkle: I thought that listening to my own heart meant choosing whatever things I wanted in the kingdom. Now I know that a princess is not defined by the things she chooses for her kingdom. All that matters is how she treats other ponies, especially her friends.

This report is included under the activity title "The Write Stuff" on one of the bonus pages in the back of the book, for the reader to fill out.

Your faithful student,

Cloudy Quartz: We love you just as you are.

Under the Sparkling Sea

Dear Princess,
Aquastria is unlike any other place I have been to! But the friends I made here are a lot like us, and I learned an important lesson about friendship today. Sometimes, helping a friend is more important than proving you're the best. We won the race together and found out that new friends are the best prize ever!
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle

Rainbow Dash and the Daring Do Double Dare

Rainbow Dash: Remember, it may seem cool to be brave and daring—and it totally is awesome—but if there's one thing I learned as Daring Dash, it's that sometimes the bravest thing a pony can do is accept help from her friends, even when she doesn't think she needs it!

Applejack and the Honest-to-Goodness Switcheroo

The journal entry for this book is written by Applejack.

Today, I learned that sometimes even those friends with a hitch in their giddyup like Cranky Doodle Donkey like to be included from time to time. And you never know—they might just take the whole darn tootin' cake! (Or pie.)

My Little Pony Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks - The Mane Event

In addition to the lessons from the film, when returning to Equestria, Twilight states something else she has learned.

Rainbow Dash: Tell us everything!
Applejack: Whatja see?
Fluttershy: What did you do?
Rarity: What did you wear?
Pinkie Pie: What did you learn?
Twilight Sparkle: I learned that I still have a lot to learn. I’m the Princess of Friendship now, and lots of ponies are going to be looking to me to solve their problems. But it was foolish of me to think that I should have all the answers. What I do have are good friends who will always be there to help me find them.
Rarity: Well then, I think we should get started right away. You’ve had quite a bit of mail since you’ve been gone.
Pinkie Pie: From Las Pegasus, Baltimare, Fillydelphia…
