Morning in Ponyville is the first of the seven songs featured in the season three finale, Magical Mystery Cure. It was revealed in an exclusive preview on Entertainment Weekly a day before the episode's original airdate.[1] It is reminiscent of the song Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin' from the musical Oklahoma!. This song beats out Pinkie Pie's Singing Telegram, from the season one episode Party of One, for having the earliest appearance in any episode, starting right when the episode itself starts.
