Patton Oswalt is an American stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and voice actor. In My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, he provides the voice of Quibble Pants in the season six episode Stranger Than Fan Fiction.

Oswalt's involvement in the show was first teased when he discussed My Little Pony with talk show host Conan O'Brien on the late-night talk show Conan in January 2016.[1][2] He also spoke about watching the series with his daughter in his April 2016 Emmy award winning Netflix stand-up special Talking for Clapping.[3] Oswalt's casting in the series was officially announced by Entertainment Weekly in July 2016.[4]

According to series director Jim Miller, Oswalt becoming involved with the series was through Twitter[5] in late September 2014,[6] and his lines were recorded before his appearance on Conan.[7]

Outside My Little Pony, Oswalt is best known as a stand-up comedian and actor. His stand-up special Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time was the No. 1 Top Comedy Album on Billboard in the week of April 26, 2014.

In acting, Oswalt's most long-running role was as Spencer Olchin in the CBS sitcom The King of Queens. He has also starred in the television series United States of Tara, The Heart, She Holler, Two and a Half Men, Justified, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the films Big Fan, Young Adult, and 22 Jump Street.

In voiceover, Oswalt's first starring film role was as Remy in the 2007 Pixar animated film Ratatouille. He has also lent his voice to various television series and video games, including Kim Possible, WordGirl, Gravity Falls, BoJack Horseman, We Bare Bears, Archer, and Minecraft: Story Mode. He is also the narrator of the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs.
