Pony Pokey is one of the three songs in The Best Night Ever. It is sung entirely by Pinkie Pie and is accompanied with live music from Octavia Melody and other members of the small orchestra at the Gala. She sings this song in attempt to brighten the snobbish and mundane mood of the Grand Galloping Gala, which is not what she imagined the Gala to be. The song matches most of the events that are shown on-screen.

The song is one of many variations of "Hokey Pokey" or "Hokey Cokey". Since the original in America is still copyrighted, the show used slightly altered melody. This song's instrumental part was added by William Anderson after Shannon Chan-Kent recorded her vocals, but the actual composer of the melody is unknown at this time.^[1] However, according to data on Broadcast Music, Inc.'s website, this song is work #13382182 and the original composer of the melody was Daniel Ingram, with William Anderson adding music later.
