It's been a year since I gave a brief review on the first Equestria Girls film, but now it's for me to give my brief review on Rainbow Rocks. It was, as Rainbow Dash would say, Awesome!!! Equally as good as the first film. The animation was great, the plot was good, the music and songs were really wonderful, and the acting was superb.
When I saw the film in a theater, most of the audience were talking during the film like if it was Mystery Science Theater 3000, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the film. I just simply laugh and became silent for most parts of the film as I always do for any film. The Music Battle between the Rainbooms and the Dazzlings in the climax almost reminded me of the Climax in the 1983 Nelvana film Rock & Rule, only di…Read more >
As we all know, My Little Pony has been renewed for a 5th Season. Right now a lot of Bronies are making suggestions on what they love to see in Season 5. For me, I still want to see a It's a Wonderful Life type episode, another Halloween-themed episode, another Christmas-theme episode, an episode based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, another Valentine's Day-themed episode, and episodes focusing on Princess Celestria, Princess Luna, Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, Cheerilee, Sweetie Belle, Mayor Mare, Spitfire, and Zecora. I would love to see the return of Gilda the Griffin, Babs Seed, and The Great and Powerful Trixie. I still also love to see if the show could do references to Sailor Moon, Power Rangers, and more Giant Monster films as …Read more >
With season 4 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic coming to Hub Network next week. I thought I might take the time to tell y'all how I became a Brony.
Unlike most bronies that started to love the series when it first aired, it actually took me until Thanksgiving 2012 to get into the series and became a Brony. What almost made me hate My Little Pony and almost made me avoid this series was the 1986 film My Little Pony: The Movie. In my opinion, the film was simply terrible. When watching that film back in 2007, I can see why the film was bad. Although I admire the actors in the film and the two studios that made it which were Sunbow Productions and Marvel Productions, the movie was just not my cup of tea. The film also made me miss opportuni…Read more >
Well, folks, it's been a few months since I wrote a blog, but I'm back with a new one. Last month, I finally saw My Little Pony: Equestria Girls in a theater and... It was awesome! Best MLP movie ever. No doubt about it, this film was way better than My Little Pony: The Movie (1986). The plot was great and so was the animation, the music, and the acting.
The film was almost like a semi-remake of the two-part pilot episode of the show called "Friendship is Magic" only different. Some of the moments in the film almost remind me of 2 episodes of Star Trek, "The City on the Edge of Forever" and "Mirror Mirror".
Now at first, I almost feared that the film would become a bomb just like other animated features based on animated TV series, spacifically …Read more >
Ever since I started watching the show, I've always wondered what would happen if they make a movie based on "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". True, there was a movie based on My Little Pony made back in 1986 and it was horrible, but if they did make a film based on "Friendship is Magic", it would require a good script, a good story, and better marketing. Should it be released theatrically or as a made for TV movie? Well, to be on the safe side, it would probably be released as a made for TV movie since most movies based on animated TV series don't make a lot of money at the box office. What do you folks think?Read more >
