As a sequel series to Continue the Story we're going to do something a little different but still familiar. This time, I won't show you the story until people have submitted enough verbs, nouns, plural verbs, etc. What is a mad lib you say? Well according to wikipedia it is a phrasal template word game where one player prompts another for a list of words to substitute for blanks in a story, before reading the – often comical or nonsensical – story aloud.
This story is going to be about the pony of your choice. For this story I will need the following (I'll pick the funniest from your submissions each day) We'll start with a short story and then we'll progressively add to it each day.
Here's what I currently need. (You can also see this in the story itself.)
Verb ending with ing:
Gender of first pony (either his or her):
Event (Birthday, Christmas, Easter, etc):
Speech verb ending in ed (replied, answered, etc):
Gender of Pet (he, she or it):
Here's the story so far:
(pony) was playing (game) with a (thing/noun) with (gender of first pony) best friend (pony2). (pony2) was helping prepare (pony) for his or her (event). But (pony1) said "No I have to feed (pet)! I can't go to (event)." And (pony2) (speech verb) "Why don't you just take (pet) with you to (event). I'm sure (gender of pet) will have fun."
And (pony) replied "Okay, but what if (pet) gets lost? I couldn't bear to lose (gender of pet) again."
