Let's get started with my revised list.

5. What About Discord?: To me this will always be Neal Dusedau's worst episode. No no, it's not about ponies discovering a Skype-like chat application used primarily for gaming, but instead we get an episode that always rubbed me the wrong way. For one, the mane five seem to casually keep Twilight Sparkle out of the loop. I've seen episodes of where this kind of plotpoint can be used intelligently and be a fantastic episode see The Mysterious Box episode of Spongebob. But this episode just hurt me with how cruel it was to Twilight. If Newbie Dash and The Mysterious Mare Do Well are the Dashabuse episodes, then What About Discord is the Twiabuse episode. And it doesn't even end on a high note, literally the ending is just the beginning only it's Discord who's kept out of the loop this time. So it's just a complete reversal of the beginning. I'd like to say this is sweet revenge, but with the one thing Discord wanted was a friend, it kind of felt cruel. There are other characters who compensate for their lack of friends through tormenting others (see Pre-Rainbow Rocks Sunset Shimmer and Diamond Tiara) but this episode was an episode where almost everyone was out of character. Mind control or not, Rainbow Dash and Applejack aren't exactly the most accepting of ponies when it comes to Discord so having them be all chummy with him as though they met him at a party and then hit it off is just weird to me. Now Neal Dusedau has shown his disdain for the show in social media calling some bronies "losers" and tries to forget he even wrote for the show and my guess it's because he's truly ashamed of what he made here. He also made Princess Spike which is probably the worst Spike episode ever, but didn't make this list because it was just boring filler rather than having any actual problems. And speaking of boring filler...

For number four we have...

4. Baby Cakes: Ever wanted to have your own baby? Ever babysat some babies before? Have you ever had a baby sister or brother before? How about taking all the good, fun aspects of childcare and replacing it with crying, screaming, diapers, drooling, sneezing, and other annoying and gross stuff. To me this feels like a PSA to parents to not have a kid. You want a baby? You can kiss your social life goodbye because you have to take care of this creature that can't fend for itself, gets itself into constant trouble, and yet is still ridiculously cute. I have no problem with episodes about babies, but this episode just took all those negative aspects of childcare and just... eugh. The Monthiversary song was okay, but the other songs felt like total bland filler songs. All in all, I didn't like this one.

And for number 3...

3. The Mysterious Mare Do Well: Where do I begin with this one? Rainbow Dash is acting obnoxious, but that's not the worst part of the episode. The worst part is how the rest of the mane six try to get her to learn a lesson. They practically break her of one of the few things in life that she thinks makes her special. Suffice to say, what Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rarity do is very mean spirited and doesn't make them look "holier than thou". It's stuff like this which make me dislike Leonard from The Big Bang Theory and that show in general, because he acts "Holier than Thou" whenever Sheldon does anything wrong. (PS: I hate the Big Bang Theory, used to like it but the canned laughter got too much for me, and I just couldn't watch it anymore without cringing at the pop culture references peppered into the "nerds" speech.) It is because of this that this episode is here and also because Rainbow Dash is (again) acting out of character. I did like the Rainbow Dash fanclub though. Seriously though, Rainbow didn't exactly feel "right" or "wrong" maybe it's because I'm not too well versed in morality as much as I'd like to be, but I feel Rainbow Dash wasn't wrong for wanting attention, and since we've seen before that she thrives on attention, it felt cruel to me.

Number two is...

2. Painbow-err Rainbow Falls: Long story short: The Wonderbolts acting like jerks for no reason, Twilight being an example of a chronic nagger and being thoroughly unlikable in this episode (though she's still my third favourite pony), Pinkie Pie being obnoxious (I get she's a cheerleader, what I don't get is why she just won't be quiet, even Twilight is a better cheerleader than her), Fluttershy and Bulk picked over much more athletic ponies, and their excuse is "They had to try out for the other events", and everything feels forced. Honestly The Mysterious Mr. Enter explained it better than I could as to why this is the worst of S4 and the second worst episode overall.

Before we get to Number one, here are a few dishonourable mentions...

Bridal Gossip, Griffon the Brush off, Boast Busters, Over a Barrel, The Cart Before the Ponies (wacky races done badly only redeeming quality is Cheerileader), Spike at Your Service, Newbie Dash.

And now, the number one worst MLP episode is...

1. 28 Pranks Later: Sweet Celestia was this one bad. Not only was Rainbow Dash's prank to Fluttershy extremely cruel (it wasn't even harmless, Rainbow was being actively malicious, towards who may very well be her best friend) and applauded by Pinkie Pie, and when her friends say "Hey, that's not cool." she responds with "Guess you don't have a sense of humour then. :P" And yet I still felt sorry for Rainbow Dash when she was pranked, though to be fair, while Rainbow Dash was unlikeable in this episode, she at least wasn't like this for the remainder of S6. Even so, she was insultingly cruel to all of her friends and had it not been for the prank, would have gotten off scot-free with zero remorse, which may have gotten her off my favourites list, but I'm not going to let a bad episode ruin my favourite character. I can't express how much hatred I have towards this episode for pretty much ignoring Dashie's character development in Griffon the Brush Off and other episodes where she's learned to respect Fluttershy. This felt like a slap in the face to a longtime fan and I hope to never see episodes like this again. This is one episode I probably won't be watching ever again.
