Ever wonder what would happen if someone decided to take the episodes Friendship is Magic pts. 1&2 and turn it into a musical to be performed on Broadway? Well I've decided to try to answer that question by doing just that! Well, I didn't try to get it out there for several reasons. But I just thought it would be fun to at least write out how I think the script would look like if it were to be staged.

I ended up creating a story that not only focused on those two episodes alone, but also other episode from throughout the series. In fact, I encorporated a large chunk of season one (which contains the main story), a touch of season two, a touch of season three, and even a pinch of season four. I even had it begin near the end of Magical Mystery Cure when Canterlot was holding Twilight's coronation, and end there too! I even added in some lines and songs that were used in the actual show! Ex. "Yes sir, ma'am sir!" from The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000

However, to make this possible, I had to make some alterations. For example, the scene where the ponies had to face the manticore involved Rarity getting her hair messed up by the manticore's roar, which cannot be done onstage. So instead of Rarity being the first to try fighting the manticore, I chose to use Pinkie Pie and had her act goofy in front of the manticore (like she did to Ms. Peachbottom in Games Ponies Play) until he roars at her, then hide behind Rarity where she reveals that she was trying to get him to laugh so that they could pass him. Another "hairy" example takes place when Twilight and Spike first meet Rainbow Dash. In the origional version, Rainbow knocks Twilight in the mud, jumps on a rain cloud to wash the mud off her, and then flies around her at high speed to dry her off, causing her mane to get messed up. Becasue of the impracticality of this, I replaced the mud puddle with a bush, and instead of having her get up right away, she just lays there for a while so that Rainbow can introduce herself to Spike, go into a musical sequence, and remove the clouds in "ten seconds flat", which should give Twilight enough time to change her normal mane to a messy mane.

Although I'm not a lyricist, I do have some songs planned for the show, some of which are already in existence and extended:

Act 1:

(The Opening Overture) - every musical needs one

(Life in Equestria) - sung by Equestria citizens

((What Are) The Elements of Harmony pt. 1) - sung by Twilght Sparkle

((What Are) The Elements of Harmony pt. 2) - sung by Twilight Sparkle and Spike

(Put Down those Dusty Old Books (Make some Friends)) - sung by Princess Celestia, Twilight, and Spike

(Morning in Ponyville) - sung by Mayor Mare and Ponyville citizens

(The Apple Family) - sung by Applejack, Twilight Sparkle, Spike, and Apple family

(I'm Gonna Be a Wonderbolt) - sung by Rainbow Dash and Spike (to the tune of the Wonderbolts' theme music)

(Living in Canterlot) - sung by Rarity and Twilight Sparkle

(Life of a Baby Dragon) - sung by Spike and Fluttershy

(Welcome Song) - sung by Pinkie Pie and Ponyville citizens (this is actually the one from A Friend in Deed)

((What Are) The Elements of Harmony; reprise) - sung by Twilight Sparkle

(Eternal Night) - sung by Nightmare Moon and Twilight Sparkle

Act 2:

(Life Without Daylight) - sung by Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, and Ponyville citizens

(Put Your Trust in Me) - sung by Applejack

(Lullaby for a Manticore) - sung by Fluttershy

(The Laughter Song) - sung by Pinkie Pie

(Friendship Love) - sung by Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy (to the tune of the music used in the end credits of Return of Harmony pt.2 and A Canterlot Wedding pt.2)

(You're Fabulous) - sung by Rarity and the Sea Serpent

(You're Gonna Be a Shadowbolt) - sung by Rainbow Dash and the Shadowbolts (this is a reprise to I'm Gonna Be a Wonderbolt)

(Eternal Night; reprise) - sung by Nightmare Moon

((They/We Are) The Elements of Harmony) - sung by Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy

(Long Lost Sister) - sung by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna

(Welcome Back to Equestria) - sung by Ponyville citizens, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Twilight Sparkle

(My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) - sung by Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy (this is the extended theme song)

(Life In Equestria; reprise) - sung by Twilight Sparkle and Equestrian citizens

In the end, I ended up created a show with many songs, many scenes, and many elements, which make this pretty difficult and expensive to put on. So while it's unlikely that it'll ever be staged, even if I do give it a chance, I'm glad that I was able to do something that at least makes it possible.

So give me your opinions and questions. What do you think of it?
