Greetings, fellow Wikians! Today, we'll be comparing the nineteenth episodes of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic! Here are the episodes.
The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows
All you need to do is to rank the episodes above from your favorite to least favorite. It's also appreciated if you give your thoughts on these episodes too.
Here's my ranking.
- For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils: This episode presents a relatable conflict involving Sweetie Belle feeling overshadowed by her sister. Combined with this, we got a wonderful A Christmas Carol-esque dream sequence as Sweetie Belle is guided by Princess Luna, who brought up an interesting parallel between Sweetie's jealousy and her jealousy of her own sister. Overall, this is a great episode.
- A Dog and Pony Show: I like how this episode establishes certain expectations about how Rarity would act in the situation she's in, but subverts that by showing her being able to hold on her own, and it's all alone in a very entertaining way. This is certainly an episode that helped me appreciate Rarity's character even more and overall, I find this episode to be great.
- Putting Your Hoof Down: I really appreciate the direction they took with Fluttershy's character here, portraying her as this socially-awkward pony who becomes so successfully assertive that she lets it get to her head and ended up hurting her friends. It is a very emotionally-effective episode in that regard, though I can't say I love it as much as I respect it (its mean-spirited tone can be somewhat of a turn-off). Besides that, we also got plenty of entertaining moments especially from Iron Will, who is just so enjoyable to watch.
- The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows: I like how this episode does a very good job in marrying together wacky comedic hijinks and great tension, making for a very entertaining Pinkie Pie episode all around and a fine debut from G.M. Berrow. I am curious to see what direction they took with Shining Armor and Cadance having a baby.
