This is something that has been bothering me about the fandom for a while, and I really hope that it can be straightened out. Let it be known I have nothing against fanon, in fact I have a fanon project on the way, and it is partly the reason that this subject means something to me, but even without this project, I would still find this a subject worth adressing.
From what I can see, the brony fandom seems to be incapable of understanding the difference between canon and fanon, or at the very least, incapable of understanding that one does not have to affect the other or obey the other, and they should both be treated seperately.
If there's one thing the brony fandom should be admired for, it's that they are pretty creative when they want …

This is going to be somewhat short as I haven't got too long to post it, and by tomorrow, I will be unable to write blogs (I think) for a while. This will also not be proof read, so forgive any spelling errors, if they appear. Forgive me, I am rushing to write this.
Recently I posted a controversial reply to a blog about what we don't like about the fandom. For some reason people took it to mean that I hated the fandom, but I at no point said I did. I love this fandom, and it is because of my love for it, I want to help the "bad" parts of it (not just bad for me, but the parts that make us look bad to others).
I also never said I hated members of the fandom.

I've kind of been drawn into replying to posts on here again, after silently leaving this wikia during the end of season 3; partly due to the fact my main computer can't use this site well, and mostly due to the fandom (or the part of it represented on this wikia) taking a turn for the worse. Don't get me wrong, I still love the brony fandom, but most of my love is based on how it was in the begining, and I still intend on making something show where I think the fandom needs to take a good look at itself.
When I left this wikia, there was a lot of internal hate, pre-FIM trolling, Lauren hate, and many other things that I really don't want to see. Some members of this forum (who will remain nameless) were far too opinionated about things …Read more >
Prince Doopliss has asked me to tell you all that he is unable to access the wikia, because he spilled coffee on his laptop and damaged it. So that is why he has been unavaliable for some time.Read more >
I seem to be the only one here who actually likes Merriwether's episodes (though I don't like all of them), and while I respect other people's opinion, I do sometimes feel that some of the critique her episodes have got are somewhat missguided, as though we've kind of missed the point of the episode. One of the main complaints Merriwehter gets is that she always seems to make at least one character behave out of character in someway, but there are actually times when behaving out of character is actually appropriate for the episode, or what is happening. Here is a look at her episodes, whether or not I think the out of character stuff can be excused or not. Please note: that Season 2 epsidodes would have still been under Lauren's influa…Read more >
