Lauren Faust

Here's a question.

Do you think the show got better, worse, or the same after Lauren Faust left?

Or for a more specific (and less loaded) question: Do you think the show got better, worse, or the same after the end of Season 2?

I decided to ask this question here after watching Josh's latest "Taking Too Seriously" video, asking this very same question and involves several people from the MLP analysis community, including himself. It's very interesting to see the varying opinions that these people have given, and after watching the video, a thought came to my head telling me that I should bring this discussion to the wiki to see what you have to say on the subject. In addition, I also have a poll.

Here's my two cents.

I think I can definitely say that the show has changed plenty after Season 2 in that the show has gotten less simple and bolder in tone, what with the status quo changes and all. However, I don't consider that a bad thing. If the show wants to continue to prosper, I think it's best that the show be more matured (well, matured in my view at least), and I certainly think it succeeded on that part. Despite that, I am hesitant to consider the show as being better after Faust's leaving at this point of the show. If Season 5 does maintain the quality that the previous seasons has set or, better yet, improves on them, then I feel more comfortable in saying that.

Anyway, what do you have to say on the matter?
