Not much to say this time about this fanfiction. Just that I got this chapter out a whole weekend early. So enjoy as always.

Begin Chapter 6

(Celestia’s POV)

It was a long, quiet walk from the meeting back to bass camp. Grovyle was constantly looking over his shoulder; as if he were making sure the Ninpundists didn’t do anything stupid. Well maybe they aren’t Ninpundists anymore. They’ve joined our cause, they are now part of the Light Cavalry. I wonder if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Now our army is larger than that of the Rebellion and the Lunars, still my sister can be very persuasive.

-

Upon, arrival at the base camp, some of the other Solars who had joined us ran up to meet us. They started to ask us what happened at the meeting and who these new people were. Candle cut them off and said, “We shall discuss this inside the main tent, meet us there in five minutes.”

-

As Candle, Groyvle, and I walked away, we heard a shot from behind us. I turned to see Hysterical and UglyTurtle galloping towards us. UglyTurtle was the first to speak, “Candle I cannot wait to tell you this. I’m not sure I can control my followers. For some reason the more I preach about peace, they become even more violent.”

-

I hear Hysterical snort, “For good reason, Ugly. Maybe if you lead them with a little more of an iron hoof, you wouldn’t have this problem. You tried to control them in Grieta, and guess what happened? You caused a massive civil war that involved almost all of the Northern and Eastern Districts. Maybe you should step down and let me-”

-

“SILENCE!” Ugly booms, “I will not hear that tratorious talk here. I’ve known for quite a while now that you want my spot, Hysterical. Well, I’m still young enough to hold the position. You getting this position.” He scoffs. “Over my dead body.”

-

I see an evil glint cross Hyst’s eyes, but maybe it was my imagination. Hysterical doesn’t respond, but I think Ugly just gave him a great idea. I make a note to myself to keep an eye on him.

-

“Our five minutes are up. We must head up to the tent to address the others. “Gorvyle points out, “We shall speak of this further later.”

-

He rushes off and Candle quickly follows. I take one last look at Hyst and Ugly and take off after them.

15:45, May 2, 2014 (UTC)~ The meeting was quite mundane, considering we had a full-scale war on our hands, and enemies on all sides. About halfway through the meeting, Grovyle suggest we have a spy, someone who isn’t known to be a Solar. Then one smaller statured pony steps forward. It’s hard to see what the pony looks like, since he is completely covered in a cloak and is in the shadows of the tent, only trotting up to the edge of the darkness. When he speaks it sounds as if he is a stallion. “I volunteer to be the spy.” He says, almost in a whisper, as if he is trying to hide his voice like the rest of him.

-

“State your name, please.” Candle says. -

“That’s not important. Still I’m surrounded by allies. I am codename Cherno Alpha also known as ITB.” He says reluctantly. “I am a master at stealth and the art of staying in the darkness, even on the brightest days.” “Ironic, since you joined the Solars.” I say, I hear Groyvle snicker of to my right. Sometimes I wonder if he has any formality in him.

-

“Well, Cherno, mind if I call you that? We could definitely use you as our spy, and as you are not very well known around this area. We need to come up with another codename for you though. You hide in the darkness and do not come out of the shadows. Your new codename shall be Agent Shadow, the one who hides in the darkness.” Candle says, “You should keep your original codename, Cherno Alpha or ITB, whichever you prefer. You and Grovyle can go and work out some sort of secret language or code for communication. You are both dismissed.”

-

As they head out Candle addresses a few more issues. He is about to talk about how we are to feed the army when we hear it. A massive boom, as if the world was being split apart itself. Then we feel the impact. The crashing, the cracking of wood, the shouting and screaming, and the bloody mess that follows. I am flown into the air and I feel myself hitting the ground as I spiral into darkness.

15:45, May 2, 2014 (UTC)~ Am I dead? I wonder as I swim in complete darkness. It’s almost as if I am suspended in some void, away from everything, never to be seen again. ‘Is this how dying feels like.’ I think to myself. -

As I am thinking about, the space around me begins to light up. At first the lights are very dim and hard to seen. Soon, they become brighter, like lighting approaching from a far off storm. The I can hear a voice shouting. Soon, I can make out the words he is shouting. “Clear!” Then a light flashes and my eyes fling open. Immediately I see Candle’s concerned face looking straight at mine. When he sees that I’m awake, his eyes light up. “Wait, don’t shock her again. She’s awake.” Candle says, “Thank you, Redheart. Your service will not be forgotten.” -

I look around to see a familiar white pony with a pink mane. She has a red cross as her cutie mark, Nurse Redheart, one of the best nurses in all of Equestria. She nods silently to Candle and trots off to see to other patients.

-

I look at Grovyle and Candle, “Wh-what happened?” I manage. “Why are all these ponies hurt? Wh-” I fail to finish my sentence as coughs rack my body.

-

“Save your strength Celestia.” Candle says, “To answer your question, The Rebellion have gotten their hands on a mortar launcher. They seemed to be very skilled at firing it. They must have multiple too, since one mortar could not have caused this must damage. They must think we are all dead since the firing stopped a few minutes after it had begun. The Lunars saw this as a perfect opportunity to raid the base camp, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. We lost many, but a few of us made it out.”

-

“Who led the attack?” I ask, wanting to know if my sister was there.

-

“Luna, herself actually. She was demanding that you faced her in battle, to see who was stronger than the other. You should think of yourself as lucky that we got you away in time.” Candle says.

-

“Where are we?” I say weakly, thinking about all of the ponies that died for me.

-

This time Grovyle answers, “We are currently at what’s left of the Ponyville Medical Center. Right now this area is out of the way from the fighting and no one has staked a claim on it yet. For now, we are safe.”

-

Just as the words leave his mouth, the hospital doors burst open. Standing in the blinding light, like some angel from heaven is another pony. I see a very bright blue pony streak into the room. Running past guards, barely paying attention to anyone. She seems to be running straight at me. When she gets closer she slows to a trot and then when she reaches our table she stops entirely. Candle and Grovyle already have their weapons out. I always wondered why Grovyle had a flintlock pistol, seems so inefficient.

-

“State your business!” Candle shouts, “Don’t try anything funny. If you do, you’ll have a bullet in your chest.”

-

“Do-don’t shout.” The pony pants, obviously a mare, “I’ve come here on peaceful terms. I-I just need to to talk to Princess Celestia.”

-

I then see the symbol on her clothes. It looks awfully familiar. I forget about it for a while. “I am here to purpose and alliance with my faction and yours.”

-

Then I see realize where I have seen that symbol. I flashback to the Royal Wedding and the changeling invasion. When I was trapped in Chrysalis’ prison, I saw a few changelings brandishing a flag with a certain symbol on it, the Symbol of the Swarm. “She’s a changeling!” I shout.

-

Groyvle and Candle raise their weapons again, this time it looks like they are about to pull the trigger. “No! Wait, I’m not a changeling.” She insists Even if I was, I come on peaceful terms. I am the right hoof pony to Chrysalis, leader of the Swarm. She’s low on manpower, and wanted me to ask Celestia something.”

-

“Fine, speak. Present her terms.” Candle says.

-

“Celestia, I represent the Swarm and would like to present an alliance. Our terms are as follows: We have a major say in decisions and meetings. We are treated equally among your army. Finally, after this war is over and we are victorious, you will let the changelings and their followers roam freely. We will not attack we just want our freedom.”

-

“Those terms are fine.” Candle says, “ Still, the last one in ridiculous, there is no way we will let you roam free and go back on your promise of not attacking. I am going to have to say n-”

-

Before he can finish I cut him off, “I, Celestia, leader of the Solar Empire accept your terms.”
